Every young person has God-given value. Every young person was created with purpose. And no circumstance—poverty, lack of education, abandonment, exploitation, or the place someone happened to be born—can change that truth.
This belief is at the heart of our name and everything we do. We see vulnerable young people not for what they lack, but for who God created them to be.
Our work is about far more than helping someone survive poverty. We want young people to know Jesus Christ, discover their God-given identity and purpose, develop the skills to build a future, and become men and women equipped to do the good works God created them to do.

Our Solution
Rescue Happens Through a Skill.
For a young person trapped in extreme poverty, vulnerability is often rooted in something very practical:
There is no clear pathway to earn a living.
Masterpiece rescues vulnerable youth by providing approximately 6–12 months of vocational training. Alongside vocational education, students receive entrepreneurship training, financial and practical life skills, mentorship, character development, and intentional Christian discipleship.
A skill.
We don't simply meet a need. We equip a life.

Poverty Doesn't Mean a Lack of Potential.
Too often, it means a lack of opportunity.
Extreme poverty can mean little or no education, few employment opportunities, and increased vulnerability to exploitation, trafficking, abuse, and desperate survival choices. The barrier is rarely ability. The barrier is access.

Our Story · Since 2005
We Didn't Start Here.
Masterpiece's Uganda work began in 2005 — youth outreach built around music, drama, motivational events, and awareness. Thousands of young people were reached, and the message mattered.
But the longer the work continued, the clearer the deeper issue became: inspiration alone could not change what a young person had access to. So in 2018, the model changed. Rescue became practical — vocational training, discipleship, and a school built to equip students for real, marketable work.

Tandika means “start up” or “begin.” Tandika Technical Institute is the vocational-training heart of the Masterpiece campus — where a student walks in without a pathway and walks out with a trade, a certification track, and a discipleship foundation.

Masterpiece Marketplace is the business engine of the mission. Ventures established on and connected to our campuses — hospitality, restaurants, salons, media and studio work, events, retail, automotive services and more — generate real revenue.
Those profits flow back into the mission to help fund the school: instructors, student training, Christian discipleship, campus operations, and the continued rescue of vulnerable youth.
The strategic purpose of these businesses is to make the school and the mission financially self-sustaining.

Campus & Future Vision
We're Not Just Building a School.
We're Building a Model Designed to Last.
The vision is a campus where education, Christian discipleship, entrepreneurship, and business operate together — students learning a trade in the same place where real businesses run, and where the profits of that work help pay for the next student's training.
As the model develops, the campus is being built toward the capacity to serve approximately 2,000–3,000 students annually. That figure is a future capacity vision, not current enrollment.
Longer term, the aspiration is to prove the model here and then reproduce it in other communities — so that self-sustaining rescue is not a one-time project but a repeatable framework.
