About Masterpiece International

We See People the Way
God Sees Them.

A Christian nonprofit working in Uganda to rescue vulnerable youth through vocational training, entrepreneurship, and intentional discipleship.

Who We Are

A mission built on a
single verse.

Masterpiece International exists because of what Ephesians 2:10 says about every person: we are God's MASTERPIECE, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. That is not poetry to us. It is the operating assumption behind every student we accept and every program we run.

We work in Uganda with young people whose circumstances — poverty, lost parents, interrupted schooling, exploitation — have closed nearly every practical door in front of them. We open one: a trade, a business plan, a mentor, and a church family.

They are not a charity project. They are His MASTERPIECE.

What We Believe

Six convictions that shape the work.

  • 01

    Dignity Over Dependency

We refuse models that keep people waiting for the next handout. Rescue must build capacity, not reliance.

  • 02

    Christ at the Center

Discipleship is not an add-on to our training. Identity in Christ is the foundation everything else is built on.

  • 03

    Skills That Sell

We teach trades with real market demand in Uganda so graduates can earn, hire, and provide.

  • 04

    Local Leadership

Ugandan staff, instructors, and pastors lead the daily work. Our role is to equip them, not replace them.

  • 05

    Whole-Person Care

Trade skills, business skills, life skills, character, and faith — a graduate needs all five.

  • 06

    Built to Sustain

Every venture we launch exists to fund the mission and outlast our dependence on outside aid.

Our Mission

To rescue vulnerable youth in Uganda, equip them with marketable skills, disciple them in Christ, and build businesses that sustain the mission for generations.

Our campus in Uganda holds Tandika Technical Institute, our vocational school, and the growing set of Masterpiece Marketplace businesses that fund it. Students live and learn in the same place where real commerce happens — which is exactly the point.

Since 2005 the work has grown from youth outreach into a full training campus. What hasn't changed is who we are looking for: the young person everyone else wrote off.
